日産R35 GT-Rの生産、ついに終了へ!!!
ただし、GT-Rは不滅か!?

8月26日、日産は、2007年から18年にわたり生産してきた「R35 GT-R」の生産が終了したことを発表した。
R35 GT-Rは、18年間で約4万8000台を生産。最後の1台は「Premium edition T-Spec」で、ボディカラーはミッドナイトパープル。日本のユーザーに届けられる予定という。
R35 GT-Rは2007年、「誰でも、どこでも、どんな時でも最高のスーパーカーライフを楽しめる」というコンセプトを具現化した新次元のマルチパフォーマンス・スーパーカーとして、「GT（グランドツアラー）」性能を実現しながら、「R（レーシング）」技術を体現する世界最高クラスのクルマとして誕生した。
エンジンは、横浜工場の「匠」と呼ばれる9人の熟練工によって、約4万8000台すべてのエンジンが手作業で組み立てられた。彼らの名前は各エンジンに取り付けられたプレートに刻まれているのも特徴だ。
R35 GT-Rは従来の自動車のライフサイクルとは異なり、モデルイヤーごとの継続的な進化を実施し、出力や操安性、快適性をはじめ、あらゆる性能を向上させたのもポイントだった。最大出力は発売時の353kW（480ps）から、2017年モデル以降は419kW（570ps）にまで向上。2014年にはNISMOモデルを新たに設定し、GT3レースカー仕様のターボチャージャーや高精度・重量バランスの取れた部品（ピストンリング、コンロッド、クランクシャフト、フライホイール、クランクプーリー、バルブスプリング）を採用し、回転数の向上とターボのレスポンス向上を実現。最大出力は441kW（600ps）を達成した。
今回の生産終了についてCEOのイヴァン エスピノーサは以下の通り述べた。
「18年間の長きにわたり、R35 GT-Rは自動車史に不朽の足跡を残しました。その輝かしい歴史は、私たちのチームと世界中のお客さまの情熱の証です。この特別なストーリーの一部を担ってくださった皆さまに感謝します。GT-Rファンの皆さま、これはGT-Rとの永遠の別れではありません。GT-Rは、いつか再び皆さまのもとに戻ってくることを目指していますが、GT-Rの名前には高い期待が寄せられており、真に特別なクルマにのみ与えられるものです。R35はその基準をさらに高く引き上げました。したがって、皆さまには辛抱強くお待ちいただくことをお願いしたいと思います。現時点で正確な計画は確定していませんが、GT-Rは進化し、再び登場するでしょう」
