新しいトヨタ アクア登場!!! 一部改良とは思えぬ大変貌とは？

9月1日、トヨタは、新しい「アクア」を発表した。
トヨタ アクアはハイブリッド専用のコンパクトハッチバックだ。一部改良でエクステリアを刷新。ハンマーヘッドをモチーフとしたフロントデザインを採用。ドアミラー全開時の車幅を30mm縮小し、取り回しのしやすさを向上させた。
灯火類は左右のヘッドランプを繋ぐセンターランプ・LEDアクセサリーランプをZグレードに装備。Bi-BeamLEDヘッドランプ+LEDターンランプ+LEDクリアランスランプ（デイライト機能付）も備えた。
リヤまわりではバックドアガーニッシュ（ピアノブラック塗装）を追加。ボディカラーは、モノトーンに「マッドバス」、「グレイッシュブルー」を、ツートーンに「マッドバス×ブラックマイカ」、「グレイッシュブルー×ブラックマイカ」、「クリアベージュ×ブラックマイカ」の新色を追加した。
足まわりには16インチアルミホイール（ダーククリア切削光輝＋ブラック塗装/センターオーナメント/ブラック塗装ホイールナット付）をZグレードにメーカーオプションとして用意する。
インテリアは、大型マルチインフォメーションディスプレイ（7インチ）をセンタークラスター下部にHDMI入力端子を標準装備。合皮パッケージに新色の「ライトグレー」を追加した（Zグレードにメーカーオプション）。
加えてディスプレイオーディオは、最新のコネクティッドナビ対応のものを搭載。G、X、Uグレードのモニターサイズを8インチに拡大した。
走行性能面では、Powerを切った際ドライブモード（ノーマル／POWER+／エコドライブ）の設定を維持。運転開始時に再設定の必要がなく使い勝手を向上させた。
上質な乗り心地を実現するスムーズストップも装備。これは停止直後の車両の揺れ動きを抑え、乗員の姿勢変化を低減するよう補助する機能だ。
