長〜いBMW 5シリーズ、日本上陸!!! 7シリーズ並みの「Li」とは？
上級モデルである「7シリーズ」に匹敵する後席居住性を実現！

4月24日、BMWの日本法人は、「5シリーズ」のラインナップに、ロングホィールモデル「525Li（ゴーニーゴーエルアイ）」および電気自動車「i5 eDrive35L（アイファイブ・イードライブサンゴーエル）」を追加した。グレードは「Exclusive M Sport」のみだ。
両モデルは、通常モデルと比べ、全長が115mm延び5175mmに、ホイールベースが110mm延び3105mmとなった。主に後席の居住性が通常モデルに比べ向上したという。
後席はより柔らかで深みのある座面構造を採用。ヘッドレスト・クッションやワイヤレス・チャージなどを装備したセンター・アームレストなどを装備する。Bピラーにもエアダクトを設けたナノファイバーフィルター付き4ゾーンオートマチックエアコンディショナーも標準だ。
エクステリアは、M Sport専用バンパーや20インチのアルミホィールなどが備わる。ウインドウモールディングをあえてサテンアルミニウムラインとし、のびやかで美しいスタイリングを強調したという。
そのほかの標準装備は、BMW Individualレザーメリノシートやスカイラウンジパノラマガラスサンルーフ、Bowers&Wilkinsサラウンドサウンドシステムなどだ。
価格は525Li Exclusive M Sportが¥9,480,000、i5 eDrive35L Exclusive M Sportが¥ 10,480,000。
