エース、プロテカ初のフロントオープンスーツケース
エースは、「プロテカ」ブランド初のフロントオープンスーツケース「フレスターEX」を9月10日に発売する。3サイズ展開で、価格は77,000円から93,500円。

フロントオープン仕様のほか、トランク型、エキスパンダブル機能の、売れ筋3大トレンドを採用。トレンドを取り入れつつ、国内生産の高品質・高機能性と、日本刀から着想を得たシャープなデザインで差別化を図っている。
フロントオープン仕様により、前面からメイン収納にアクセスが可能。機内持込サイズは立てたまま出し入れできる「縦開き」、預け入れサイズは省スペースで開閉できる「横開き」仕様で、狭い空間でも開閉しやすいというメリットがある。
預け入れサイズのモデルでは、厚マチで縦長のトランク型を採用。かさばる荷物も効率的に収められる1気室構造で、大容量ながら車載しやすく、縦長なので床に寝かせても場所を取らないという特徴を持つ。
マチ幅を広げて容量を拡張できるエキスパンダブル機能により、旅先で荷物が増えても対応可能。3サイズともに、約1泊分にあたる10L前後の容量を増やせる。
デザインは、日本刀の「樋(ひ)」から着想を得たリブライン(表面の凹凸)で、ボディ強度を高めている。
そのほか、従来品に比べて約30%の体感音量を軽減した「サイレントキャスター」、車輪の滑らかな回転を補助する「ベアロンホイール」、手元のスイッチで車輪を固定できる「マジックストップ」、握りやすく快適な「エルゴノミックハンドル」を特徴としている。
カラーはガンメタリックヘアライン、シルバーヘアライン、ミストラルヘアライン。素材はポリカーボネート。
品番「01551」「01553」「01555」をラインアップし、容量は01551が36L(拡張時45L)、01553が76L(同89L)、01555が105L(同120L)。サイズと重量は、36Lが55×37×23(27)cm/3.4kg、76Lが71×41×30(34)cm/4.9kg、105Lが79×46×33(37)cm/5.6kg。36Lのみ機内持込サイズで、他の2モデルは預け入れサイズ。
価格は、36Lが77,000円、76Lが88,000円、105Lが93,500円。
