ヒグマ食害相次ぐ北海道 厚沢部町 トウモロコシ食い荒らされる
ヒグマによる食害が相次ぐ北海道南部の厚沢部町で12日朝、畑で栽培されていたトウモロコシおよそ40本が食い荒らされているのが見つかりました。NHKが所有者の許可を得て設置したカメラには11日夜、ヒグマが実の部分を引きちぎる様子が捉えられていて、警察などがパトロールを強化しています。
12日午前8時ごろ、北海道厚沢部町美和の畑で農家の男性がトウモロコシおよそ40本が食い荒らされているのを見つけ、警察に通報しました。
警察によりますと、この畑では10日から3日連続で被害が確認されていて、食い荒らされたトウモロコシはあわせておよそ470本にのぼります。
NHKが所有者の許可を得て設置したカメラには、11日午後8時半ごろ、ヒグマ1頭が姿を現し、トウモロコシの実の部分を口で引きちぎるなどして、30分ほどかけて繰り返し運んでいく様子が捉えられていました。
現場から300メートルほど離れた場所には住宅が点在していて、警察はハンターなどとパトロールを強化するとともに住民に注意を呼びかけています。
被害を受けた農家の横濱達雄さん（75）は「もう、諦めの気持ちです。自分では手の施しようがなく、いまは畑だけで済んでいますが、いずれ家の近くに現れるのではないかと危惧しています。怖くて夜は外に出られません」と話していました。
