軽自動車のEV 国内市場に投入の動き 中国 BYDなど各社が新型車
中国のBYDが新型車の投入を計画するなど今年度から来年度にかけて、軽自動車のEV＝電気自動車を国内市場に投入する動きが相次ぎます。これまで日産自動車と三菱自動車工業が共同開発した車が販売で先行してきましたが、競争が激しくなりそうです。
このうち、EVで中国最大手のBYDは、軽自動車のEVを新たに開発し、来年後半に販売する計画です。
昨年度、国内で最も売れたEVは日産と三菱自動車が共同開発した軽自動車で、会社はそれと同じ水準の260万円程度の販売価格を目指すとしています。
BYDはおととし日本で乗用車の販売を開始し、これまでに4車種を販売していますが、国内の新車販売でおよそ35％のシェアを占める軽自動車に参入することで、販売の拡大を図りたいとしています。
また、ホンダも今年度中に軽自動車のEVを新たに投入するほか、ダイハツ工業やトヨタ自動車、それにスズキの3社も共同開発した軽商用車のEVを販売する計画です。
軽自動車は狭い道や駐車場でも運転しやすい日本独自の規格ですが、海外メーカーにとっては、日本という限られた市場向けの車両となるため、販売の動きはありませんでした。
しかし、国内外のメーカーが軽自動車のEVの販売を相次いで投入することから、今後、各社の競争が激しくなりそうです。
