英米軍の艦艇 台湾海峡通過 中国「平和と安定破壊する」と反発
イギリス軍とアメリカ軍の艦艇が台湾海峡を通過し、中国側は「台湾海峡の平和と安定を破壊するものだ」として反発しています。
イギリス海軍の空母「プリンス・オブ・ウェールズ」を中心とする打撃群は、インド太平洋地域に展開していて、8月から9月にかけて空母が日本に寄港しました。
イギリス国防省は12日、この打撃群のフリゲート艦が台湾海峡を通過したことを明らかにした上で、「イギリス海軍はどこであっても国際法と規範を順守し、航行の自由を行使している」とコメントしています。
また、アメリカのインド太平洋軍も駆逐艦がイギリス海軍のフリゲート艦とともに航行したとしていて、「アメリカは、航行や飛行の自由などと矛盾するいかなる主権や管轄権の主張も認めない」とコメントしています。
イギリス海軍の別の空母を中心とする打撃群が4年前にインド太平洋地域に展開した際もフリゲート艦が台湾海峡を通過しましたが、去年政権交代を果たしたスターマー政権が中国との関係を改善しようとする姿勢を見せる中、今回展開している打撃群の動きが注目されていました。
これについて、中国軍で台湾を含む東シナ海などを管轄する東部戦区は報道官の談話を発表し、「こうした行動は誤ったシグナルを発し、台湾海峡の平和と安定を破壊するものだ」とした上で、「国家の主権と安全、地域の平和と安定を断固として守る」と反発しています。
