アマゾン、物流拠点を一般公開する「Amazon Tours」 年内に「千葉みなとFC」
Amazonは30日、Amazonの物流拠点「フルフィルメントセンター(FC)」を無料で見学できる「Amazon Tours」を、千葉みなとフルフィルメントセンターで2025年中に開始すると発表した。日本で初の取り組みとなる。

Amazon Toursは、Amazonを知ってもらう機会として物流拠点を紹介するもの。FCの無料公開は、今後開設される特設ページにアクセスし、必要事項を記入して、事前申し込み可能となる。
Amazon Toursの参加者は、実際にFCの内部を巡りながら、約60～90分かけてAmazonの物流を支えるテクノロジー、働く人々、職場環境、地域社会への貢献などについて知る機会となる。例えば、ロボットが商品棚を持ち上げて移動する「Amazon Robotics」がどのようにFCの効率化に貢献しているかを確認できる。これまで、米国、フランス、イタリア、ドイツ、オーストラリア、イギリス、カナダで展開していたが、新たに日本を含む7カ国で開始する。
Amazon Toursを導入する千葉みなとFCは2023年に開設。延べ床面積は12万m2、東京ドーム約2.5個分の広さで、Amazon Roboticsを導入する拠点としては国内最大級となる。Amazon Roboticsにより最大約40％多くの在庫を保管でき、スペースの節約が可能となるため、より多く品揃えの商品を扱っているする。Amazon Toursでは、Amazonの物流拠点がどのように機能しているかとともに、働きやすい職場を実現するためにどのような工夫をしているかなどの取り組みなどを紹介する。
Amazon Toursは、2025年に開始予定。場所は、千葉みなとフルフィルメントセンター (千葉県千葉市)。対象者は6歳以上で、18歳未満の場合は保護者同伴が必須。
