アトラシアン、AIブラウザ「Dia」のThe Browser Companyを買収
プロジェクト管理の「Jira」やタスク管理の「Trello」などを手がけるAtlassian(アトラシアン)は4日(米国時間)、AIブラウザーの「Dia」や「Arc」ブラウザを開発しているThe Browser Companyを買収すると発表した。今後、Diaをベースに「ナレッジワーカーのためのAIブラウザー」を構築していく。

The Browser Companyは、ChromiumをベースにしたArcブラウザを開発し、25年5月からはAIブラウザーとして「Dia」に注力する方針を発表。Diaをベータ版として公開している。今回の買収によりアトラシアンは、DiaをベースにSaaSに最適化されたAIブラウザーを開発する。
アトラシアンでは、「現在のブラウザは、仕事を前進させるようには設計されていない。SaaSアプリが爆発的に増える前、そして現在のAI革命よりずっと前に設計されたもので、ワークフローにおいては傍観者で、仕事の文脈を認識せず、優先順位を理解せず、ツール間の点と点を繋ぐ助けも提供しない。今こそ、仕事のために真に構築されたブラウザーが必要」と今回の取り組みを説明している。
新たなブラウザーでは、メール、プロジェクト管理ツール、デザインアプリなど、どのアプリで作業していても、作業を進めるのに役立つコンテキストがタブに追加される。またAIスキルを搭載し、作業メモ機能でアプリ、タブ、タスク間を繋げるという。
