「Amazonロッカー」、47全都道府県に設置完了
Amazonは、Amazonで注文した商品を外出先で受け取れる「Amazonロッカー」を、島根県への設置をもって全都道府県に導入したことを4月22日に発表した。

Amazonロッカーは、現在、全国に約4,000台設置されている。自宅で受け取ることができない時や、旅先で急に必要になったもの、渡す日までは家族に内緒にしておきたいプレゼントなど、自宅以外の場所でAmazonの商品を受け取りたい時にさまざまな用途で利用可能。最新のものは完全非接触型となり、バーコードリーダーやタッチスクリーンの代わりに、Bluetoothを使ってロッカー内のスロットを開けられる。
また、多くのロッカーには名前があり、地域で親しまれるよう、地域にゆかりのある言葉や食べ物、動植物の名前から名付けられる。全国最後に導入となった島根県では、県内第1号のAmazonロッカーが松江市のココカラファイン田和山店に設置され、出雲弁で「ありがとう」を意味する「だんだん」という名前がつけられた。
Amazonは、日本全国へのAmazonロッカー導入を記念して、「祝・47都道府県コンプリート『Amazonロッカー命名キャンペーン2024』」を実施。名称のついたAmazonロッカーが設置されていない地域(富山県、石川県、福井県、鳥取県、岡山県、徳島県、香川県、愛媛県、佐賀県、大分県、宮崎県、鹿児島県、沖縄県の13県)で今後使用するロッカーの名称を募集する。期間は4月22日から5月19日まで。
