長崎 佐世保 「三川内焼」を即売する祭り始まる
400年以上の歴史がある長崎県佐世保市の焼き物、「三川内焼」を即売する祭りが始まりました。
佐世保市三川内地区の「三川内焼」は、旧平戸藩の御用窯として400年以上の歴史があり、素焼きの白い表面に藍色で絵付けされた唐子模様で知られています。
三川内地区では焼き物を焼く際に必要な使い捨ての皿「はまぜん」の供養を兼ねて、毎年この時期に祭りが開かれていて、初日の1日は地元の神社に関係者が集まり、「はまぜん」を供養しました。
15の窯元などが参加した祭りでは、ふだんより1割から5割ほど安く販売されている品もあり、訪れた人は茶わんや皿を手にとってじっくりと品定めしていました。
このほか、古い窯を利用したギャラリーには新たな企画として三川内焼の茶器10点余りが集められ、素材の白磁を生かした二重底の抹茶わんなどが販売されています。
佐世保市の60歳の男性は「三川内焼は毎日コーヒーを飲むのに使っていて、きょうはつぼや皿などを買いました」と話していました。
