YouTube、“広告少なめ”月額780円の新プラン「Premium Lite」
YouTubeは、月額780円で“広告が少なめ”となる新たな料金プラン「YouTube Premium Lite」を9月25日から順次日本でスタートする。米国では3月から展開していたが、日本でも試験的に利用可能となる。
YouTube Premium Liteは、ゲーム・お笑い・料理・学習などの動画を、広告なしで楽しみたいユーザー向けのプラン。スマートフォン、パソコン、テレビなどのデバイスに対応している。ゲームやお笑い、料理などは原則広告なしだが、音楽コンテンツやショート動画、検索やサイト内を閲覧する際には、広告が表示される場合がある。
また、オフライン再生やバックグラウンド再生も非対応となる。そのため、音楽も広告なしで楽しみたい人やオフライン再生などを利用したい場合は「YouTube Premium(月額1,280円)がおすすめ」としている。

今後も多くの国でYouTube Premium Liteを展開予定。また、ユーザーが定額制サービスモデルを最大限に活用できる新しい方法も年内に発表する。
