京王多摩川駅の再開発名称は「イトナミ」
京王電鉄とリビタは、京王相模原線京王多摩川駅前で開発を進めている「(仮称)京王多摩川開発プロジェクト」を中心とした開発エリアの名称を、「itonami(イトナミ)」に決定した。

旧京王フローラルガーデンアンジェ跡地など約2.8haの敷地と京王多摩川駅、駅高架下を含む範囲を対象とした再開発プロジクト。土地区画整理事業と併せてA棟・B棟(賃貸住宅・福祉棟)・C棟(分譲住宅棟)の計3棟の建物を開発するほか、京王多摩川駅の駅舎改良工事、高架下スペースの暫定利活用をしながら段階的に開発を進めている。
新たに決定した名称「itonami」は、「糸・波・営み」という3つの意味を重ねた言葉。糸は「人や自然、暮らしの要素をつなぐ象徴」、波は「糸が重なり合いながら広がっていく様子」、営みは「この地で営まれる日々の暮らしそのもの」を表している。地域の人と、「住み継がれる、暮らし継がれる街」の未来を描きながら、新たなにぎわいを育んでいくことを目指す。
開発エリアでは、開発段階から実験的な取り組みをしながら場づくりを進めており、第1弾として7月から地域の飲食店や個人が気軽に出店できる「1YY CLUB(ワンワイワイクラブ)」を開始。名称には「1円で借りられる屋台」という意味と、「みんなでワイワイ盛り上げたい」という思いを込め、出店料1円からキッチンカーで出店できる。
オープン当初から、スマイルズと調布市国領町の餃子専門店「手作り餃子 吉春」によるコラボレーション店舗が出店しているほか、個人や飲食店によるチャレンジ出店が始まっている。
賃貸住宅・福祉棟のB棟に続き、8月22日に着工した分譲住宅棟のC棟は、9月16日に物件公式サイトを公開。多世代に対応した1LDKから4LDKまでの総戸数264戸のマンションで、詳細は11月中旬に発表予定。
