世界のカブトムシやクワガタムシと触れ合うイベント 山形 米沢
山形県米沢市では、世界各地の珍しいカブトムシやクワガタムシと触れ合えるイベントが開かれていて、多くの子どもたちでにぎわっています。
このイベントは「こどもの日」にあわせて、米沢市の「よねざわ昆虫館」が開き、国内外のカブトムシやクワガタムシなど16種類が展示されています。
このうち2本の大きな角がある「ヘラクレスオオカブト」は、中南米に生息する世界最大級のカブトムシで、オセアニアに生息する「ニジイロクワガタ」は美しい光沢があるのが特徴です。
イベントでは展示した昆虫に直接触れることもでき、家族で訪れた子どもたちは、木にとまっているカブトムシやクワガタムシを手でなでたり、写真を撮ったりしながら楽しんでいました。
小学2年生の男の子は「ふだん触ることのできない虫と触れ合えて思い出になりました。ヘラクレスオオカブトが大きくてかっこよかったです」と話していました。
よねざわ昆虫館の島貫清美専門員は「世界中には多くの昆虫が生息していることを知ってもらい、直接触れることで命の大切さを感じてもらいたいです」と話していました。
