YouTube「急上昇」終了
YouTubeは、包括的なトレンドを提供する「急上昇」ページを廃止し、カテゴリー別での情報発信に切り替えると発表した。今後数週間以内に実施される。

YouTubeは現在のトレンドについて、多くのファン層によって作成される多数の動画で構成され、さまざまなコミュニティが楽しむ「マイクロトレンド」がかつてなく増えていると指摘。ユーザーは、おすすめ動画や検索候補、ショートなど、さまざまな場所でそれぞれのトレンドを把握できるようになっている。過去5年で「急上昇」ページへのアクセスは大幅に減少しているという。
こうした流れを受け、急上昇ページのようなカテゴリーを横断する包括的な人気リストは廃止し、「YouTube チャート」での紹介に切り替える。
「YouTube チャート」のページでは、10日から、「急上昇ミュージック ビデオ」「ポッドキャスト番組ウィークリー ランキング」「話題の映画の予告編」の人気チャートが紹介されている。今後もコンテンツカテゴリーが追加される予定。
なお、「YouTube チャート」の拡充中も、人気急上昇中のゲーム動画については、YouTubeの「探索」メニューにある「ゲーム」(Gaming)ページで紹介される。
今後もパーソナライズされたおすすめ動画に人気コンテンツを反映する取り組みは進め、自然な形で新しい動画を見つけられるようにする。一方、パーソナライズされていない人気コンテンツは「探索」メニューの各ページから確認できる。
