PayPay、韓国で使えるようになる 本人確認必須
PayPayは、9月30日から韓国でPayPayの「海外支払いモード」をスタートした。韓国のAlipay+加盟店などでPayPayで支払いできるようになる。
従来は日本国内専用だった「PayPay」が、海外でも利用できるようになる。その第1弾が韓国で、PayPayでの支払いのほか、個人間送金、残高チャージなどのPayPayの主要機能を利用できる。
韓国における対応店舗は、200万店舗を超える「Alipay+」と「zero pay」のマークが掲示されている店舗や場所。日本と同じPayPayアプリで支払できる。なお、海外支払いモードの利用にはPayPayの本人確認(eKYC)が必須だが、海外ではセキュリティの関係で本人確認(eKYC)の設定ができない。そのため、出国前の対応が必須となる。
海外利用でも、国内と同様に決済金額の0.5～2.0％の「PayPayポイント」が付与される。
