ChatGPT、”やるべきこと”を毎朝提案する新機能「Pulse」 質問は不要
OpenAIは25日、ChatGPTが自ら能動的に調査し、チャットの内容やフィードバック、カレンダーなどの連携アプリのデータに基づき、パーソナライズされた情報を提供する新機能「ChatGPT Pulse」を発表した。モバイル版のChatGPT Pro(月額200ドル)ユーザーからプレビュー版を利用可能となる。

ChatGPTは、利用者の質問に答え、目標達成を支援するAIサービスとして開発されている。それゆえに常に「ChatGPTに対して質問する」形を取っていた。しかし、この場合「なにを質問すべきか」という利用者側の知識に依存しており、次のステップに進むためには、利用者のスキル向上が課題となっていた。
ChatGPT Pulseは、ユーザーが望む目標をChatGPT側で考えて、情報を毎朝など1日1回ユーザーに提供。ユーザー側では、有用な情報とそうではない情報をChatGPTに伝えることで、調査対象の調整を行なえる。調査結果はトピック別のビジュアルカードとしてPulseに表示され、情報を確認できる。
例えば、ユーザーが旅行中の場合、「旅行の日程も中盤ですね」とChatGPTがメッセージと、ビジュアルカードで語りかけ、ディナーの候補を提示するほか、朝やるべきことなどを通知。ランニングの注意点などもまとめ、アクティビティの継続を支援する。利用者の生活スタイルなどにあわせて、ChatGPTが様々な提案を行なう。

ChatGPT Pulseは、現時点では毎日1回作成。毎晩、利用者のメモリー(利用履歴)・チャット履歴・直接フィードバックから情報を集約し、関連性の高い内容を学習。翌朝にはパーソナライズされた重点的な更新を提供する。GmailやGoogleカレンダーと連携させることで、より関連性の高い提案のための追加情報が提供される。カレンダー連携時には、ChatGPTが会議のサンプル議題を作成したり、誕生日プレゼントの購入をリマインドしたり、旅行先のレストランをおすすめするといったことが可能。これらの連携機能はデフォルトでオフになっており、オン/オフはユーザー側で設定できる。
また、毎日ChatGPTに調査してほしい内容をリクエスト可能。「キュレート」をタップして「金曜日のローカルイベントまとめ」「新スキル習得のコツ」「明日はプロテニスの最新情報」といった具体的な指示を行なえる。
OpenAIでは、ChatGPT Pulseを「AIとの新たな対話パラダイムに向けた第一歩」と説明。会話機能・記憶機能・連携アプリの統合することで、「単なる質問応答から、ユーザーに代わって行動する能動的アシスタントへと進化させる」としている。現在はProユーザー(月額200ドル)向けのプレビュー版だが、将来的にはPlus(月20ドル)ユーザー向けの拡大や、無料ユーザーへの展開も検討していく。
