熊本 五木村 ダム建設受け入れ “地域振興に取り組む” 国交相
熊本県の川辺川に国が建設する予定のダムで、一部が水没すると想定されている五木村の村長が建設を受け入れる考えを表明したことについて、斉藤国土交通大臣は閣議のあとの記者会見で「五木村からは昭和41年に国が川辺川ダム建設計画を発表して以降、先祖伝来の土地を提供いただくなど多大なる協力をいただいていて、国としてもこれまでの経緯を十分に踏まえつつ、熊本県と連携して村の地域振興に取り組んでいきたい」と述べました。
そのうえで「ダムの建設にあたり、環境への影響をできるかぎり抑えるよう努めるとともに、地元の皆様からご理解ご協力が得られるよう丁寧な説明に努めたい」と話しました。
