養殖うなぎの産地 愛知 西尾 土用の丑の日を前に 出荷最盛期
「土用の丑（うし）の日」を前に、全国有数の養殖うなぎの産地、愛知県西尾市で、うなぎの出荷が最盛期を迎えています。
西尾市一色町は全国有数の養殖うなぎの産地で、今月19日と31日の「土用のうしの日」を前に、出荷作業は最盛期を迎えています。
一色うなぎ漁業協同組合にトラックでうなぎが次々と運ばれ、組合の職員が重さごとに選別していました。
うなぎは身を引き締めるために1日から2日ほど冷たい水にさらされたあと、主に東海地方や関東地方に出荷されるということです。
組合によりますと、ことしの出荷量は、稚魚のシラスウナギが豊漁だったこともあって、去年より多い3500トンを見込んでいて、今月と来月でこのうち800トンを出荷する予定だということです。
一色うなぎ漁業協同組合の田中三千雄組合長は「ことしも順調に育っている。うなぎは栄養満点なので夏バテをしないように食べてほしい」と話していました。
