北海道 江差町 駆除のヒグマ スイカ食い荒らしのクマとDNA一致
8月下旬、北海道江差町で駆除されたヒグマについて、DNA鑑定の結果、周辺の家庭菜園などでスイカを食い荒らしていたクマと一致したことがわかりました。
8月29日、江差町砂川地区のスイカ畑でオスのヒグマ1頭が箱わなにかかり駆除されました。
周辺の家庭菜園などではヒグマによってスイカが食い荒らされる被害が相次いでいて、町が北海道立総合研究機構にDNA鑑定を依頼して関連を調べてきました。
町によりますと、鑑定の結果、8月中旬以降、江差町や隣接する上ノ国町で被害にあった家庭菜園などあわせて5か所で採取された体毛などのDNA型が今回駆除されたクマのものと一致したということです。
5か所の家庭菜園などは直線距離で最大5キロ余り離れていて、江差町は駆除されたヒグマがこの間を行き来しながら、スイカを食い荒らしていたとみています。
江差町ではこの個体が駆除されたあともヒグマの出没が続いているため、生ゴミを屋外に放置しないことや、夜間や早朝に1人で出歩かないことなど、引き続き注意を呼びかけています。
