「ゆうちょの国際送金」開始 スマホで世界各国へ送金
ゆうちょ銀行は、Swift(国際銀行間通信協会)の新たな電文フォーマットに準拠した新しい国際送金サービス「ゆうちょの国際送金」の取り扱いを7月中に開始する。窓口およびゆうちょダイレクトでの国際送金の取り扱いは終了となる。

ゆうちょの国際送金は、Web上で送金申し込みが完結。必要な証明書類等をアップロードできるため、資料を郵送する手間が不要となる。利用は24時間(23時55分～0時5分を除く)可能。ゆうちょダイレクトの契約のない人でも利用できる。
送金先登録は最初の一度だけで、2回目以降は口座情報を再入力することなく送金できる。決まった相手へのリピート送金がスムーズになる。申し込んだ送金の処理状況は、無料でいつでも確認できる。
セキュリティ面では、「ゆうちょ認証アプリ」でスマートフォン端末に登録した認証情報等により本人認証を行なうため、パスワードの盗難や第三者の不正アクセス等の被害を防止できるとしている。
従来の国際送金の取り扱いについては、ゆうちょ銀行店舗および国際送金取扱郵便局は8月29日、ゆうちょダイレクトは8月31日に終了する。
窓口を利用している人も「ゆうちょの国際送金」をスムーズに利用できるよう、新サービスの操作方法を記載した「ゆうちょの国際送金 ご利用ガイド」を、ゆうちょ銀行店舗および国際送金取扱郵便局の窓口で配布、ゆうちょ銀行 Webサイトに掲載する。また、スマホ等の操作に関して、ゆうちょ銀行店舗・ゆうちょコールセンターで操作方法の案内を行なう。
