ザ・シチズン30周年、「勝色」藍染和紙ダイヤルの限定モデル
シチズン時計は、「The CITIZEN」(ザ・シチズン)の誕生30周年を記念した限定モデルを7月10日に発売する。ソーラー発電のクオーツ式腕時計で、価格は462,000円、数量は世界限定550本。

時計の本質の追求と高い精度が特徴の「ザ・シチズン」が誕生30周年を迎え、ダイヤルに濃く深い藍である「勝⾊」(かちいろ)に染めた土佐和紙を使用する限定モデルが登場する。勝色は、藍染の中でも特に濃い⾊とされる日本の伝統⾊「褐⾊」(かちいろ)に、縁起の良い文字があてたもので、その響きから、武具や祝賀の品などに用いられてきた歴史がある。
搭載される和紙ダイヤルは、藍染の伝統技法“天然灰汁発酵建て”(てんねんあくはっこうだて)で⼿染めしたもの。染料の発酵や染⾊の過程で深みと鮮やかさが生まれ、多層的な⾊調が魅⼒になっている。
ムーブメントはソーラー発電「エコ・ドライブ」の「Cal.A060」を搭載。精度は年差±5秒という高精度を実現している。日付表示は2100年2月28日までうるう年などの月末カレンダー修正が不要なパーぺチュアルカレンダー。衝撃から針ズレを抑止する衝撃検知機能、針ズレを自動修正する針自動補正機能、0時ジャストカレンダー更新機能などを備える。
ケース・ブレスレットはデュラテクトプラチナが施されたスーパーチタニウム製。風防はクラリティ・コーティングのデュアル球面サファイアガラス。防水性能は10気圧防水。ケース径は38.3mm、厚さは12.2mm。
