トランプ大統領 ワニ生息地に新設の不法移民収容施設を視察

アメリカのトランプ大統領は1日ワニが生息する湿地帯に新設された不法移民の収容施設を視察しました。施設は脱走するとワニに襲われるおそれがあると言われていて、トランプ大統領は「脱出する唯一の方法は国外追放されることだ」と述べ不法移民に対する厳しい姿勢を改めて示しました。

トランプ大統領は1日、南部フロリダ州にある空港の敷地内に新たに設置された不法移民の収容施設を視察しました。

この施設は、ワニが多く生息する湿地帯にあり、脱走すればワニに襲われるおそれがあるとして、かつてカリフォルニア州のアルカトラズ島にあった刑務所になぞらえ、「アリゲーター・アルカトラズ」と呼ばれています。 視察のあと、トランプ大統領は「周りを見渡したところ、ハイキングをしたいと思う場所ではない。何マイルもの危険な沼地に囲まれ、脱出する唯一の方法は国外追放されることだ」と述べ不法移民に対する厳しい姿勢を改めて示しました。

この施設について、ロイター通信は、およそ5000人を収容でき、早ければ現地時間の2日にも最初に収容される人々が到着するとしています。

トランプ大統領は1963年に閉鎖されたアルカトラズ島の刑務所について、ことし5月、再建、拡張して不法移民を収容する施設とするよう司法省などに指示したことを明らかにしています。
