ヤフトピの記事を3点要約 Yahoo! JAPANアプリに「AIまとめ」
LINEヤフーは、「Yahoo! JAPAN」アプリでニュース記事を3つのポイントで要約する新機能「AIまとめ」の提供を開始した。対象は、同アプリ内の「Yahoo!ニュース トピックス(ヤフトピ)」に掲載された一部記事。生成AIが「何があった」「詳しく」「今後」「補足」といった観点から要点を整理し、3つのポイントとして表示する。

「ヤフトピ」に掲載される記事のうち、AIコンテンツパートナーから利用許諾を得た記事に適用される。記事見出しをタップすると、要約が「AIまとめ」ラベル付きで表示され、短時間で記事全体の概要を把握できる。アプリの「すべて」タブで利用できる。
編集部の知見と生成AIによる要約を組み合わせることで、記事内容を短時間で的確に理解できるようサポートする。
AIコンテンツパートナーには、Impress Watchをはじめ、共同通信、ロイター、ABEMA TIMES、FNNプライムオンライン、ORICON NEWSなど50以上の媒体が参加している。
ヤフトピではこれまでも生成AIを活用した取り組みとして、「ココがポイント」「みんなの意見」「ヤフコメAI要約」などを展開してきた。「ココがポイント」では、記事に対する補足情報をAIが整理して表示し、「みんなの意見」では、話題のニュースに関連した投票テーマをAIが提案し、「ヤフコメAI要約」では、寄せられた意見をAIが要約することで、社会の反応を把握しやすくしている。
なお、本機能はOpenAIのAPIを用いて開発されており、「Yahoo! JAPAN」アプリのiOS版(4.132.0以上)、Android版(3.187.0以上)、およびスマートフォンブラウザ版で利用できる。
