沖縄県議会 西田議員の発言に抗議決議へ 文案作成など調整進む
沖縄戦で犠牲となった女子生徒らを慰霊する「ひめゆりの塔」の説明をめぐる自民党の西田昌司参議院議員の発言を受けて、沖縄県議会では、抗議決議に向けて一部の会派が文案を作成するなど調整が続いています。
自民 西田参院議員“ひめゆりの塔 歴史書き換え発言”撤回せず
自民党の西田昌司参議院議員は、今月3日に那覇市で開かれたシンポジウムで、沖縄県糸満市の「ひめゆりの塔」における沖縄戦で犠牲となった「ひめゆり学徒隊」の説明について「日本軍がどんどん入ってきてひめゆり隊が死ぬことになり、アメリカが入ってきて沖縄が解放されたという文脈で書いてある。歴史を書き換えるとこういうことになってしまう」などと発言しました。
これを受けて、沖縄県議会の各会派は7日、議会として抗議決議を行う方針を確認し、8日は自民党会派が抗議決議の案をまとめたうえでほかの会派に説明して理解を求めるなど調整を進めました。
関係者によりますと自民党の抗議決議の案は、西田議員と自民党総裁としての石破総理大臣宛で「戦争体験者や遺族、沖縄県民の心を深く傷つけ尊厳を踏みにじる発言で断じて容認できず、看過できない。西田議員に対して発言の撤回や県民への謝罪を強く求め、戦争体験の継承や歴史認識のあり方について猛省を促す」としています。
自民党の大浜一郎県議会議員は記者団に対し「沖縄の自民党として言うべきはしっかり言っておかなければならない。抗議決議は全会一致を目指す」と述べました。
ただ、県議会の一部の会派からは自民党主導で抗議決議をまとめることに異論が出ているほか、別の決議案の作成を進める会派もあり、調整が続いています。
