G-SHOCKにイニエスタのシグネチャーモデル『DW-5600AI』が登場！ 文字盤にあのボレーシュートが蘇る？

カシオ計算機は、 G-SHOCKのニューモデルとして、元サッカースペイン代表で、Jリーグ・ヴィッセル神戸に在籍していたアンドレス・イニエスタのシグネチャーモデル『DW-5600AI』を発表。キャリア通算1000試合出場を記念して、イニエスタの40回目の誕生日となる5月11日に発売する。
シグネチャーモデル『DW-5600AI』は、スクエア形状でおなじみの「DW- 5600」がベース。イニエスタ自らが監修に参加したという。
ベースカラーのブラック。イニエスタのイメージカラーであるレッドと、これまでの功績を称えるゴールドを随所にあしらったのがデザインの特徴だ。さらに、イニエスタがサッカーをする上で大切にしている言葉の一つである 「Master the game」の文字を書き下ろし、バンドにプリントしている。
イニエスタ・ファン、さらにサッカー好きを唸らせるのは、バックライト点灯時に浮かび上がるあのシルエットではないだろうか。2010年サッカーW杯南アフリカ大会、決勝のオランダ戦、スペインを初優勝に導いた決勝ボレーを彷彿とさせるイニエスタのシルエットが浮かび上がるのだ。
遊環のオリジナルロゴや、裏蓋に刻印されたサイン、8時側のサイドボタンには背番号「8」をレーザー刻印するなど、アンドレス・イニエスタのシグネチャーモデルに相応しいG-SHOCKが完成した。
