povo、本人確認にマイナンバーカード 顔の撮影不要に

KDDI、沖縄セルラーは、povo2.0(通話+データ)の新規申込時の本人確認において、マイナンバーカードを用いた公的個人認証サービス(JPKI)への対応を開始した。

これまでpovo2.0(通話+データ)の新規申込時の本人確認は、契約者の運転免許証などの本人確認書類と、契約者自身の容貌を撮影する必要があった。

JPKIを利用することで、マイナンバーカードをスマートフォンで読み取るだけで、信頼性の高い本人確認が完結する。これにより顔写真の撮影が不要になるほか、即時審査が可能で、新規契約の手続きがよりスムーズになる。さらに、オンライン上のなりすましや改ざんによる不正契約を防止し、高いセキュリティが確保されるとする。

JPKIは、マイナンバーカードのICチップに搭載された電子証明書を利用する方式。本人確認書類の偽造や第三者によるなりすまし、データの改ざんといった不正を防止し、オンラインでも安全で確実な本人確認を行なえる。

なお、同じく5月8日からは、運転免許証などのICチップ情報と契約者本人の容貌画像を組み合わせた方式(ICチップ情報+容貌画像方式)にも対応する。

JPKI方式、ICチップ情報+容貌画像方式はどちらも、NFCの読み取りに対応したスマートフォンで利用できる。
