ガーミン、至高のフラグシップ「fēnix 8 Pro MicroLED」
ガーミンジャパンは、フラッグシップモデルのマルチスポーツGPSウォッチ「fēnix」シリーズから、最新モデル「fēnix 8 Pro」を9月18日に、「fēnix 8 Pro MicroLED」を10月以降に発売する。「fēnix 8 Pro」は、9月11日から予約を開始している。価格はfēnix 8 Proが206,800円、fēnix 8 Pro MicroLEDが318,800円。

fēnix 8 Pro MicroLEDには、スマートウォッチとして初めて、MicroLEDを搭載。40万個以上の微細なLEDチップを高精細に配置し、最大4,500ニトの高輝度を実現した。直射日光下でも圧倒的な視認性を誇るとしている。均一な明るさにより視野角は6倍となり、色域も15%拡大。より美しい色彩を表現する。
fēnix 8 ProにはAMOLEDを搭載。ディスプレイサイズは共通で、1.4型(454×454ピクセル)。レンズ素材はサファイアクリスタル。
両モデルの共通機能としては、ガーミンのスマートウォッチとして初めて「inReach」技術を活用したLTE通信機能を搭載。スマートウォッチが無くてもLTE-M(カテゴリM1)によって、低消費電力かつ広域で通信が可能。利用には別途サブスクリプションとして「INREACH ENABLED PLAN」が必要。料金は月額1,180円(LTE-M 無制限利用可能)。
具体的には、Garmin Messengerアプリと連動し、ウォッチ単体で音声通話やテキストメッセージ、ボイスメッセージ(30秒)の送受信が可能。家族や仲間と位置情報をリアルタイムで共有が可能で、LiveTrackにより30秒ごとに位置情報を更新する。
緊急時のSOS発信は、Garmin応答センターにSOSが届き次第、要救助者の位置情報や現在の状況などを救助組織へ救助要請に関する情報を提供。事故検出機能も搭載し、登録済みの緊急連絡先へ自動で通知する機能も備える。
LTEを介して天気データの取得も可能。山岳地帯や海上などでの天候変化も素早く確認し、判断の助けとなる。
バッテリー駆動時間は、fēnix 8 Proがスマートウォッチモードで約27日間、GPSモードでは約78時間。fēnix 8 Pro MicroLEDで同10日間、同44時間。
衛星測位機能は、GPS/GLONASS/GALILEO/BeiDou/みちびき(補完信号)。センサーは第5世代光学式心拍計、血中酸素トラッキング、コンパス、ジャイロセンサー、温度計、気圧高度計など。防水機能は10ATM(100m防水)/ダイビング対応(40m)。
fēnix 8 Proは、ベゼルがダイヤモンドライクカーボン(DLC)コーティングチタンとチタンの2モデルが用意される。本体サイズは51×51×16.5mm、重量90g。
fēnix 8 Pro MicroLEDはベゼルがダイヤモンドライクカーボン（DLC）コーティングチタンの1モデルのみで、本体サイズは51×51×17.5mm、重量93g。
