「アワイチ」1周約150キロ 淡路島を自転車でまわる催し
1周およそ150キロの兵庫県淡路島を自転車でまわる催しが開かれ、愛好家たちが島全体をさっそうと駆け抜けました。
淡路島を1周するおよそ150キロのサイクリングコースは自転車の愛好家たちから「アワイチ」という愛称で親しまれています。
島を自転車でまわることで豊かな自然や変化に富んだ景色など、島の魅力をより身近に感じてもらおうと、兵庫県や地元の自治体などが15日に開いた催しにはおよそ300人が参加しました。
スタート地点は島の北部、明石海峡大橋に近い公園で、参加者たちは目の前に広がる海の眺めを楽しみながら力強くペダルをこぎ出しました。
そして島の南部、南あわじ市の施設では特産のタマネギや牛肉を挟んだハンバーガーがふるまわれ、参加者たちは口いっぱいにほおばっていました。
長野県から参加した60代の男性は「海岸沿いの景色がすばらしかったですし、ハンバーガーもおいしくて食も堪能できました。無事ゴールへたどり着けるよう最後まで頑張ります」と話していました。
兵庫県淡路県民局総務企画室の三輪哲也 班長は「島を1周する達成感も味わってもらえると思う。淡路島と徳島県を結ぶ大鳴門橋で整備中の自転車道の開通にも期待してほしい」と話していました。
