大相撲秋場所 大関 琴櫻が休場 対戦予定の横綱 大の里は不戦勝
大相撲秋場所で、大関 琴櫻が14日目の27日から休場することになりました。対戦する予定だった1敗で単独トップの横綱 大の里は不戦勝となります。
琴櫻はことしの初場所で5勝10敗と負け越し、その後の3場所はいずれも8勝7敗の成績でしたが、今場所は前に出る相撲が見られ、11日目に勝ち越しを決めました。
そして13日目には横綱 豊昇龍に勝ってことし最多となる9勝目を挙げ、ここまで9勝4敗の成績でした。
師匠の佐渡ヶ嶽親方によりますと26日の取組で右ひざを痛めたということで、琴櫻は日本相撲協会に届け出て14日目の27日から休場することになりました。
琴櫻の休場は令和4年の名古屋場所以来、4回目です。
対戦する予定だったここまで1敗で優勝争い単独トップの大の里は不戦勝となります。
これにより、2敗で追う横綱 豊昇龍が結びの一番で敗れると、千秋楽を待たずに大の里の5回目の優勝が決まります。
