ジョーダン ブランドの“Reimagined”シリーズは2022年から展開されており、その名前から推測できるように、かつてのオリジナルモデルを再構築している。最初は“Chicago”をリメイクした“Lost & Found”から始まり、ちょうど2カ月前には“Black Toe Reimagined”が満を持して登場した。
「エア ジョーダン 1 HIGH OG “UNC “Reimagined”」は、1985年発売の“UNC”が着想源。しかし、ただ再現するのではなく、この新作はあえて古く見えるように制作された。アッパーはひび割れたホワイト（Sail）のレザーで、ダークパウダーブルーのオーバーレイは少し色褪せているため、本物のヴィンテージのような雰囲気を醸し出している。サイドには大きなスウッシュをあしらい、履き口にはジョーダン ブランドを象徴する翼のついたバスケットボールのエンブレムを刻印した。
しかし、一番注目すべきはミッドソールかもしれない。予め履き込まれ、黄ばんだような仕上がりになっており、まるでアーカイブからそのまま引っ張り出してきたかのようだ。ボックスも往年のパッケージを模した特別仕様で、オリジナルの包み紙と古風なレシートまで付いてくる。
今年、ジョーダン ブランドは40歳の誕生日を迎える。噂ではオフ-ホワイトとの「エア ジョーダン 1 HIGH OG “EURO”」（“Alaska”に改名されるようだ）や、アンディフィーテッドとの「エア ジョーダン 4 “Deep Green”」も復活するとのことだ。
「エア ジョーダン 1 HIGH OG “UNC Reimagined”」は、5月10日にナイキのアプリ「SNKRS」、そして一部小売店にて2万6950円（税込）で発売予定。
