京都 風流踊の一つ「やすらい花」 花がさを掲げて練り歩く
ユネスコの無形文化遺産「風流踊（ふりゅうおどり）」の一つで、桜などで飾られた花がさを掲げて練り歩く「やすらい花（ばな）」が京都市内で行われました。
「やすらい花」は桜の花が散るこの時期に疫病神が広がるという言い伝えをもとに平安時代から続くとされる伝統行事で、おととし「風流踊」の一つとしてユネスコの無形文化遺産に登録されました。
このうち京都市北区で行われた「今宮やすらい花」には、地域の人たちおよそ100人が参加しました。
行事では桜などで飾られた花がさを掲げる人を中心に、赤い装束と赤や黒の長い髪のかつらで鬼にふんした人たちが行列を組み、かねや太鼓を鳴らして踊りながら光念寺から今宮神社まで練り歩きました。
花がさは直径1メートル80センチほどの大きさで、入ると厄が払われて1年を健康に過ごせるとされていることから、見物に集まった人の中にはかさに入る人の姿も見られました。
行列はこのあと、今宮神社の境内で踊りを披露し、花がさに集めた厄を奉納したということです。
今宮やすらい会の土橋耕治会長は「地域の皆さんが一年間、健康に暮らせるよう心を込めて取り組みたいです」と話していました。
