鹿児島 いちき串木野市の港でマグロの水揚げ
全国有数の遠洋マグロ漁船の母港として知られる鹿児島県いちき串木野市の港で、マグロの水揚げが行われました。
水揚げされたのは、いちき串木野市を母港にしている船が、アフリカ南部のモザンビーク沖でとったキハダマグロ、およそ30トンです。
22日は、水揚げに先立ち、串木野新港で歓迎の式典が行われ、漁船の船主などに花束が手渡されました。
そして、市民が見守る中、冷凍された1匹40キロほどのマグロが、次々とクレーンでつり上げられて水揚げされていました。
いちき串木野市は、18隻のはえなわ漁船が所属する、全国有数のマグロ遠洋漁業の母港として知られていますが、水揚げのほとんどは、大消費地の首都圏に近い静岡県の港で行われています。
水産会社「串木野まぐろ」の上夷和輝社長は「沖で一生懸命とってきました。ぜひおいしく食べていただきたいです」と話していました。
水揚げされたマグロは、地元をはじめ、九州各地の飲食店などで提供されるということです。
