グーグル、「Gemini Nano」で検索や通話の詐欺対策を強化
Googleは、検索やブラウザ、モバイルOSにおける詐欺対策を強化するための新たなAI技術の導入を発表した。あわせて、これまでの取り組みをまとめた「Fighting Scams in Search」レポートも公開した。
Google 検索では、AIによって日々数億件規模の不正なページを検出・ブロックしており、近年の改良によって検出精度は従来の20倍に向上した。なりすましのカスタマーサポートを装った詐欺ページなどの露出が大幅に削減されており、特に航空会社を装った詐欺の表示は検索結果で80%以上減少したという。
Chromeでは、オンデバイスで動作する軽量の大規模言語モデル「Gemini Nano」を新たに導入し、詐欺対策機能を強化している。
クラウドを介さずにローカル環境で動作するAIモデルで、即座の判断が可能な点が特徴。デスクトップ版Chromeで「保護強化機能(Enhanced Protection)」を有効にしている利用者を対象に提供されており、不審なWebサイトを閲覧しようとした際、コンテンツの文脈や構造をAIが即時に解析し、詐欺の疑いがある場合は警告を表示する。
また、ChromeのAndroid版では、悪質な通知を検知するAI機能も追加。怪しい通知を識別すると警告が表示され、利用者はその通知元をブロックするかどうか選択できるようになる。誤検出と判断した場合は、通知を許可することも可能。
Google メッセージやPhone by Google(Googleの電話アプリ)では、通話やSMSによる詐欺を検出するAI機能も導入済み。
