カシオは、G-SHOCKの新製品として、アニメ「エヴァンゲリオン」とのコラボレーションモデル「GA-110EVA30」を10月17日に発売する。
「GA-110EVA30」は、アニメ「エヴァンゲリオン」のテレビシリーズ放映30周年を記念したコラボレーションモデル。シリーズのメカニックデザインを手がける山下いくとによる新規描き下ろしデザインをもとに、腕時計全体にエヴァンゲリオンの世界観を表現した。
ベースモデルには、2010年に発売された初めてのコラボレーションモデル「GA-110EV」と同じ「GA-110」を採用。短バンドにはエヴァンゲリオン初号機の特徴的な角、ベゼルには初号機の顔、ベゼル下部から長バンドにかけては、ロンギヌスの槍を構え投げようとする初号機の左腕が描かれる。アニメーションの世界観を細部まで再現できるよう、 G-SHOCKとして初めて4色プリントを採用した。
フェイスには、9時位置のインダイヤル針に使徒のモチーフを採用。文字盤を分割させるY字型のパーツには「CAUTION」のパターンをあしらい、遊環に「NEON GENESIS」、バント先端に「NERV」ロゴ、裏蓋に30周年記念ロゴを刻印する。
細部までこだわりを込めたこのモデルは、エヴァンゲリオンの世界観を表現したスペシャルパッケージに同梱。「エヴァンゲリオン」テレビシリーズ放映30周年記念した、ファンの心をくすぐるスペシャルな1本に仕上がった。
