ChatGPT「買い物」に対応 エージェントコマース強化
OpenAIは29日(米国時間)、ChatGPTによる「エージェントコマース」の実現に向けた「Instant Checkout(インスタントチェックアウト)」機能を開発した。専用の「エージェント型コマースプロトコル」をStripeと共同で開発し、米国のChatGPTユーザーは、チャット内で米国のハンドメイド系マーケットプレイス「Etsy」で商品を購入できる。また、Glossier、SKIMS、SpanxなどのShopify加盟店も近日対応予定としている。

インスタントチェックアウトの基盤技術となる「Agentic Commerce Protocol(ACP)」は、オープンソース化して公開。ACPはStripeと共同開発し、AIエージェントと人、企業が連携して購入を完了させる「AIコマースのオープンスタンダード」として展開する。OpenAIでは、ACPに関するドキュメントなども公開している。
これにより、ChatGPTは購入する商品を見つけるだけでなく、購入そのものをサポート。購入から支払いまで、ChatGPT上で数タップで完結できるようになる。
ACPを活用することで、ChatGPTにおいて、「100ドル以下のランニングシューズおすすめ」「陶芸好きへの贈り物」といった質問に対し、ChatGPTがWebから関連性の高い商品の検索結果を表示。商品がインスタントチェックアウトに対応している場合、ユーザーは「購入」をタップして、注文内容・配送先・支払い情報を確認して、チャット画面を離れることなく購入を完了できる。
ChatGPTの契約者であれば、支払いは登録済みカードなどで行なえ、注文・決済・配送は、販売者側のシステムで処理される。
なお、インスタントチェックアウト対象商品は検索結果で優先表示されることはない。同一商品を扱う複数販売者をランキングする際、ChatGPTは在庫状況・価格・品質・販売者の優先度・インスタントチェックアウト対応可否などの要素を考慮し、判断する。
Stripeでは、ACPについて「Stripeの15年間の経験に基づいて開発した。ChatGPTのようなインターフェースは急速に新しいタイプの『店舗』になっている」と説明し、エージェントコマースの拡大を予測している。
なお、Googleは、エージェントコマース用のプロトコルとして「AP2」を提案。アドビやアメリカン・エキスプレス、Cloudflare、デル、JCB、Mastercard、PayPal、Revolut、1passwordなどが賛同している。
