石川 輪島高校 男子バレー部 転校の部員も県大会・高校総体へ
能登半島地震の影響で石川県輪島市の輪島高校の男子バレーボール部は半数の部員が転校などを余儀なくされましたが、石川県高校体育連盟の特例措置で県の高校総体などに限って転校したメンバーも一緒に出場できることになり、大会に向けて練習に励んでいます。
輪島高校の男子バレーボール部は去年の県の高校総体でベスト8に入った強豪ですが、地震の影響で10人いた部員のうち5人が金沢市や野々市市の高校に転校や一時転学しました。
地震でユニフォームやシューズ、練習着が使えなくなり、チームも組めないとしてバレー部をやめるか悩んだ部員もいたといいます。
そこで、転校するなどした部員も含めた元のメンバーで公式大会に出られないか石川県の高校体育連盟に掛け合ったところ、今月行われる県大会と来月から始まる県の高校総体に限り、特例措置で転校したメンバーも一緒に出場できることになったということです。
25日は輪島高校に残った部員たちが、27日から始まる県大会に向け元気な掛け声を出しながらレシーブやスパイクの練習に励んでいました。
転校した部員とは休日しか一緒に練習できませんが、オンラインで一緒にトレーニングするなど工夫を重ねてきたということです。
高校2年生の大畑瞬星さんは「みんな転校してしまい一緒にバレーができないと思っていたので、とてもうれしいです。こういう状況だからこそ声を出して元気を出していく輪島のスタイルで試合も頑張りたい」と話していました。
顧問の奥野拓海教諭は「生徒一人ひとりが諦めることなく目標に向かっていく道をつくっていただけたのは、非常に意味のあることです。みんなで出場できることに感謝しながら、一生懸命なプレーを見せてほしいです」と話していました。
