「ジム活」称し無人ジムのロッカーから窃盗か 容疑者2人逮捕

無人で24時間営業しているスポーツジムのロッカーから利用客の財布などを盗んだとして京都市に住む18歳の容疑者2人が逮捕されたことが捜査関係者への取材でわかりました。警察は、仲間内で「ジム活」と称して無人のジムばかりを狙った疑いがあるとみて調べています。

逮捕されたのは、京都市に住む18歳の容疑者2人です。

捜査関係者によりますと、去年10月からことし1月にかけて京都市などにある複数のスポーツジムに侵入し、ロッカーから利用客の財布や服などを盗んだ疑いが持たれています。

いずれも24時間営業のジムで、従業員が常駐しておらず、ロッカーに扉や鍵はついていなかったということです。

店舗に入るには会員登録すると付与されるQRコードが必要ですが、2人は仲間の1人が入手したQRコードを使い回して各地の店舗に侵入していたとみられるということです。

警察は仲間内で「ジム活」と称し、京都や大阪で無人のジムばかりを狙った盗みをほかのメンバーとともに数十件繰り返していた疑いがあるとみて調べています。

また、警察はジムの運営会社に対し、ロッカーに鍵をつけたり、貴重品を持ち運ぶためのかごや袋を用意したりするなどの対策を取るよう求めたということです。
