トランプ大統領 “FRB議長は愚か者” 利下げ見送りを批判か
アメリカのトランプ大統領は8日、自身のSNSでFRB＝連邦準備制度理事会のパウエル議長について、「何もわかっていない『愚か者だ』」と投稿しました。FRBは、前日に利下げの見送りを決めていて、トランプ大統領はこの対応を批判したものとみられます。
トランプ大統領は8日、自身のSNSに「“遅すぎる”パウエルは何もわかっていない『愚か者』だ」と投稿し、FRBのパウエル議長を批判しました。
その上で、「原油やエネルギーの価格は下がっている。食料品や卵を含むほとんどすべての価格が下がっていて、事実上インフレはない」と主張しました。
FRBは7日、トランプ政権の関税措置によってインフレ率と失業率の上昇リスクが高まっていると指摘した上で、利下げを見送って政策金利を据え置くことを決めていました。
トランプ大統領はこれまでも繰り返しFRBに対して利下げを要求していて、今回の投稿も、利下げを見送ったFRBの対応を批判したものと見られます。
