石川 輪島「白米の千枚田」で田植え始まる ボランティア参加
能登半島地震と豪雨災害で大きな被害を受けた石川県輪島市の「白米の千枚田」で、ボランティアが参加して10日から田植えが始まりました
輪島市の「白米の千枚田」は小さな棚田が海岸まで続く美しい風景で知られていますが、去年の地震と豪雨災害で大きな被害を受けました。
管理する農家などでつくるグループが復旧作業を進め、10日から田植えが始まりました。
田植えには全国から集まったボランティアおよそ100人も参加し、コシヒカリの苗を丁寧に植えていきました。
輪島市によりますと、「白米の千枚田」にあるおよそ1000枚の棚田のうち、ことしは復旧作業が間に合った250枚ほどで田植えを行う予定です。
奈良県から訪れた44歳の女性は「被災地の役に立ちたいと思い、参加しました」と話していました。
棚田を管理する「白米千枚田愛耕会」の白尾友一 会長は「多くのボランティアが集まり、感謝しています。元に戻った『千枚田』を見てもらえるよう復旧作業を頑張ります」と話していました。
「白米の千枚田」では11日も田植えが行われ、9月に稲刈りを予定しているということです。
