アシックス、ビジネスシューズ「RUNWALK 7」 日本製・ゴアテックス
アシックス商事は、アシックスウォーキングのハイエンドシリーズ「RUNWALK(ランウォーク)」から、品格と機能美を追求したドレスシューズ「RUNWALK 7」を7月10日に発売する。価格は29,700円から49,500円。一部店舗では7月4日に先行発売を行なう。

RUNWALKシリーズは、“走れるビジネスシューズ”をコンセプトに1994年に登場したシリーズ。アシックスのランニングシューズや競技用シューズにも採用している素材や機能構造を取り入れた高いクッション性やフィット性などの機能と、スタイリッシュなフォルムを特徴としている。前作のRUNWALK 6の発売は2014年で、同シリーズとしては11年ぶりの新製品となる。
RUNWALK 7はこれまでの特徴を引き継ぎ、ランニングシューズのテクノロジーを“歩く”に応用した靴底と、レザーの選定や仕上げの工程にこだわったデザイン性を組み合わせている。
靴底は、最初に着地するかかと部に独自のスポンジ合成技術に衝撃緩衝機能「GEL」の機能を融合させて軽量化した「fuzeGEL(フューズゲル)」を広範囲に内蔵。使用範囲を拡大することでクッション性と反発性を向上させている。また、軽さを体感できるよう、靴底全体に連続したパーフォレーション(穴)を施している。
ニーズやライフスタイルに合わせて選べるよう、最上位となる「LS」、ミドルクラスの「TS GTX」、手ごろな価格帯の「BS GTX」の3ラインを用意。LSとTS GTXでは、歩行時の過度なねじれを抑制し、安定した歩行をサポートするため、靴底の中部から前部にかけてY字型の樹脂製補強材を内蔵している。TS GTXとBS GTXには、ライニング部分に防水透湿性に優れたゴアテックスファブリクスを搭載している。
RUNWALK 7 LS
RUNWALK 7 LSは、品格を追求し、細部にまでこだわり抜いて仕上げた日本製モデル。クラシックな革靴がもつ気品を持たせるため、アッパー(甲被)にはきめ細やかなキップレザーを、裏材には明るいキャメルカラーのステアレザーを採用している。
また、靴型に合わせてハンマーで叩き込みを行ない、シルエットがきれいに現れるようツヤの出し方を工夫するなど、日本の職人の手作業も含めて一つ一つの工程に手間と時間をかけ、美しいフォルムを追求した。例えばステッチの工程において、よりきめ細やかなモノづくりをすることで、品格の高い佇まいになるよう仕上げている。
「1231A303」「1231A295」「1231A296」の3種のデザインで、カラーはブラック、コーヒー、1231A303のみワインも用意する。サイズは24.0～28.0cm。ウイズは3E。価格は49,500円。
RUNWALK 7 TS GTX
RUNWALK 7 TS GTXは、アッパーに上品なイタリアンレザーを採用したクラシカルなモデル。デザインにより2Eから4Eまで幅広いウイズバリエーションを展開し、カジュアルスタイルにも合わせやすいローファータイプも用意する。
「1231A297」「1231A298」「1231A299」「1231A300」「1231A301」「1231A302」の6種のデザインで、カラーはブラック、コーヒー、1231A301はブラックのみ。サイズは24.0～28.0cm、1231A298は23.5～29.0cm。ウイズは1231A297が2E、1231A302が4Eで、その他は3E。価格は38,500円。
RUNWALK 7 BS GTX
RUNWALK 7 BS GTXは、アッパーに上質な天然皮革を採用し、艶やかな仕上げにこだわったモデル。29,700円という価格により、高機能なランウォークをより幅広い人に提供するという狙いでラインアップした。TS GTXと同様、デザインにより2Eから4Eまで揃える。
「1231A281」「1231A282」「1231A283」「1231A284」「1231A285」の5種のデザインで、カラーは1231A281、1231A282、1231A283がブラック、コーヒー、1231A284、1231A285がブラックのみ。サイズは24.0～28.0cm。ウイズは1231A281が2E、1231A282が3Eで、その他は4E。
RUNWALK 7 LSのみゴアテックスファブリクスが搭載されていないが、アシックス商事 国内事業統括部の松尾大氏によれば、レザーの選定に制限が出ることや、ハンマーでの叩き込みなどの工程とゴアテックス搭載の両立が難しいため、LSでは最上位としての品格を優先して見送ったという。
ただしアシックス商事 代表取締役社長 小林淳二氏は「最上位のラインでも品格を保ちながら、機能性をアップデートしていく可能性はある」と説明した。
7月4日の先行発売店舗は、アシックスウォーキングオンラインストア、アシックスランウォーク銀座、アシックスウォーキング 横浜ポルタ/名古屋サカエチカ/四条寺町/三宮中央通り/福岡。7月10日からアシックスウォーキングの全店舗、一部の百貨店などで順次発売する。
