えきねっと、3カ月前予約に対応 遅延で発車時刻を過ぎていても予約可
JR東日本は、2025年秋から「えきねっと」で、「3カ月前予約」などの新たなチケッティングサービスを10月から順次開始する。

「えきねっと」においては、10月31日14時から、新幹線の指定席3カ月前予約が可能な「早期予約」サービスの申込を開始。26年1月10日以降の乗車分の予約が行なえるようになる。これまでは、1カ月前から予約開始だったため、より先の予定をおさえられるようになる。ただし、2025年度の年末年始期間は対象外となる。
早期予約の対象となる列車は、JR東日本・JR北海道エリアの新幹線「はやぶさ」「やまびこ」「こまち」「つばさ」「とき」「あさま」。列車と席数は限定される。
10月2日からは、新幹線や在来線の輸送障害時に「えきねっと」上で、発車時刻を過ぎた先行列車の指定席の購入や変更に対応する。運休や遅延などの影響で発車時刻を過ぎた列車については、これまでは駅に停車していても予約できなかったが、新規の購入や予約変更が行なえるようになる。
また、「トクだ値」等の割引きっぷ利用時に、予約していた列車が運休・遅延となった場合も、えきねっと上で元の予約の割引を引き継いだ状態で当日の他の列車へ変更可能となる。
新機能により、「遅れて発車する列車」に乗りやすくなるほか、割引価格のままで予約を変更することも可能になり、列車変更のために窓口に並ぶ必要もなくせるという。対象列車はJR東日本エリアの新幹線・特急列車。
さらに、「えきねっと」で予約した列車の運休・遅延等が発生した場合に、えきねっと上にて手数料無しで払戻できる機能をタイムリーに適用。計画運休や長期運休以外の車両故障や人身事故などの突発的な運休時にも、利用者自身の操作で手数料無しで払戻できるようになる。対象はJR東日本全エリアの新幹線・特急列車。
