ヤクルト 高津監督の退任を発表 後任は2軍監督 池山氏が有力か
プロ野球、ヤクルトは、チームを日本一1回、リーグ優勝2回に導いた高津臣吾監督が今シーズンかぎりで退任すると正式に発表しました。球団関係者によりますと、後任は、2軍監督を務めている池山隆寛氏の昇格が有力となっているということです。
2020年のシーズンから指揮をとってきた高津監督は現在就任6年目で、これまでに2年目の2021年にチームを20年ぶりの日本一に導き、3年目の2022年はリーグ連覇を果たしました。
一方で、昨シーズンまで2年連続で5位と低迷し、巻き返しを目指した今シーズンも課題となっていた守備面でチーム防御率が3.57、失点が539といずれもリーグワーストで苦しい戦いが続いていました。
また、チームは4月下旬に最下位に沈んでから浮上のきっかけがないまま、今月17日には3年連続の4位以下が確定し、28日球団が高津監督の退任を正式に発表しました。
チームは、28日夜の巨人戦が今シーズン、本拠地・神宮球場で行う最後の試合となっていて、試合後にはセレモニーが行われ高津監督がファンに向けてメッセージを送る予定です。
球団関係者によりますと、高津監督の後任はチームの2軍監督を務めている池山氏の昇格が有力となっているということです。
