新型アウディA5のディーゼルモデル、遂に発売開始！

6月24日、アウディ ジャパンは、新型「A5」シリーズに、TDI直噴ターボディーゼルモデルを追加した。
新型アウディA5のTDIモデルが搭載する2.0リッター TDI直噴ターボディーゼルエンジンは、最高出力150kW（204 ps）、最大トルク400Nmを1750rpmから3250rpmの間で発揮。
新開発のハイブリッドシステム「MHEV plus テクノロジー」の採用により加速性能が大幅に向上し、燃費はA5 TDIで17.7km/L、A5アヴァントTDIで17.4km/L（WLTCモード）を達成した。
MHEV plus テクノロジーは、一部の限定的な条件下では完全な電動走行も可能だ。新システムは、従来のMHEVシステムと比較してCO2 排出量と燃料消費に大幅なメリットをもたらすrという。システムを構成するPTG（パワートレインジェネレーター）は、トランスミッションのアウトプットシャフトに接続され、内燃エンジンの出力に、最大18kW（24ps）の電力を追加。減速時には最大25kWのエネルギーを回生する。
ブレーキペダルとブレーキの油圧システムが完全に切り離されているiBRS（統合型ブレーキ制御システム）も採用。初期の減速は摩擦ブレーキを使わずに、回生ブレーキでのみ行われる。さらにブレーキペダルを踏み込むと摩擦ブレーキが作動するものの、ブレーキの感触は変わらない。
「EA288 evo」世代となる2.0L TDIエンジンは、排出ガス処理のためにツインドージングを採用。エンジンのスムーズな運転のために2本のバランスシャフトを備えている。AWDクラッチ付きquattro四輪駆動と7速Sトロニックトランスミッションと組み合わされる。
TDIの日本導入を記念した限定モデル「A5 / A5アヴァント TDI edition one」も、同時に発売した。ベースモデルはS line。こちらに限定モデル用のフロントエアインレットとディフューザートリム、3色の色分けが施された20インチブラックメタリック&マットネオジムゴールド ポリッシュのAudi Sport製マルチスポークSデザインアルミホイールを装備した。
ボディカラーはマグネットグレー、グレイシアホワイトメタリック、ミトスブラックメタリック、アスカリブルーメタリックの4色から選べる。インテリアカラーには、専用のパステルシルバーだ。
新型アウディA5 TDIモデルの価格は、A5 TDI quattro 150kWが¥7,160,000、A5 アヴァント TDI quattro 150kWが¥7,410,000。
限定モデルのedition oneは、セダンが¥8,560,000、アヴァントが¥8,810,000で、合計260台限定となる。
