青森で「ゆるキャラすもう大会」県内各地のマスコットが力比べ
青森県内各地をPRするマスコットキャラクターたちが相撲で力比べをする、「ゆるキャラすもう大会」が15日、つがる市で行われました。
ことしで10回目となる「ゆるキャラすもう大会」は、つがる市のショッピングセンターで開かれ、青森県内の自治体や企業・団体と、特別参加の福島県棚倉町のマスコットキャラクター合わせて20体が出場しました。
まず最初に去年優勝した十和田市の「十和田ごんぼう」が力強い土俵入りを披露し、トーナメント戦ではゆるキャラたちが次々と繰り広げる白熱した取組に会場は大きな歓声で包まれていました。
決勝では去年準優勝した鶴田町の「つるりん」と、鰺ヶ沢町観光協会の「デカわさ」が対戦し、お互いのキャラクターの頭の部分が外れるほどの力のこもったぶつかり合いの末「つるりん」が初優勝を果たしました。
優勝した「つるりん」は、「去年とおととし準優勝だったので、ことし優勝できて本当にうれしいです。つるりんの見た目のかわいらしさだけでなくかっこよさをPRできたと思います」と話していました。
