阪急阪神HD 角和夫元会長が死去
鉄道や流通に加え、阪神タイガースや宝塚歌劇団など幅広く事業を行っている「阪急阪神ホールディングス」の会長や社長だった角和夫氏が4月26日に亡くなりました。76歳でした。
兵庫県出身の角氏は1973年に阪急電鉄に入社し、2003年に社長に就任しました。
2005年、村上世彰氏が率いる投資ファンドが阪急の長年のライバル「阪神電鉄」の株式の半数近くを保有し、筆頭株主となります。
角氏は村上氏側から阪神の株式を買い取り、戦後初めてとなる大手私鉄どうしの経営統合を主導しました。
鉄道や流通、不動産事業に加え、プロ野球の阪神タイガースや宝塚歌劇団の運営なども行う「阪急阪神ホールディングス」の会長や社長として、およそ20年にわたってグループをけん引しました。
また、関連会社である阪急阪神百貨店などを傘下に持つ「エイチ・ツー・オー リテイリング」や「東宝」などの取締役も務めました。
一方、2023年に宝塚歌劇団の宙組に所属していた劇団員が死亡した問題では、阪急阪神ホールディングスの経営トップとして、上級生などからパワハラがあったことを認め、遺族側に謝罪しました。
歌劇団の運営のあり方が厳しく問われる事態となりました。
このほか、2011年からは関経連＝関西経済連合会の副会長も務めるなど、関西の財界を代表する経営者の1人として知られていました。
角氏は去年12月に「健康上の理由」で阪急阪神ホールディングスの会長を退いていましたが、先月26日、兵庫県宝塚市の自宅で亡くなりました。76歳でした。
