ホンダ、手を使わないモビリティ「ユニワン」事業化決定
ホンダは、ハンズフリーパーソナルモビリティ「UNI-ONE(ユニワン)」の事業化を決定。国内法人向けとして9月24日に発売する。

クルマなどで移動したあとの「目的地で利用するモビリティ」。施設内などの特定のエリアでの回遊や、高齢者など多様な人材の活躍支援、労働生産性の向上などの用途を想定している。移動の負荷を軽減することで、足腰の負担への不安から外出を控えていた人々の外出を後押しし、「自由な移動の喜び」に貢献することを目指すという。
ASIMOなどのロボティクス研究で培った技術を活用。座ったまま体重移動するだけで歩行するように移動でき、両手が自由に使える着座型のパーソナルモビリティ。難しい運転操作を必要とせず、子供から年配の人まで、幅広い年代の人が利用しやすい設計としている。
同社はこれまで、「U3-X(2009年公開)」「UNI-CUB(ユニカブ、2012年公開)」など、人と協調するパーソナルモビリティの開発を継続してきた。これらの後継モデルとして、開発されたUNI-ONEは、2022年の国際ロボット展での公開以降、さまざまなイベントでの展示や試乗会を重ね、2023年からは、有償実証実験を行ないながら量産化、事業化に向けた取り組みを進めていた。2025年1月には公道走行が可能となる「移動用小型車」の型式認定を取得している。
販売方法は、UNI-ONE公式Webサイトを通じ、国内法人向けとして本体、交換式バッテリー、メンテナンスサービスなどをパッケージした「サービス契約」となる。販売予定台数は1,000台(2030年までの5年間)。月額料金は3年契約で10台未満の場合、1台あたり120,000円から。
一例として、10月19日からサンリオエンターテイメントが運営するサンリオキャラクターパーク ハーモニーランドへの導入が決定している。
