Google、「Pixel 10」の最新UIがPixel 6以降にも展開
Googleは、「Pixel 10」シリーズに搭載した最新UI「Material 3 Expressive」を既存機種にも展開する。Pixel 6以降とPixel Tabletに提供される。

Material 3 Expressiveが提供されることで、ロック画面の壁紙にアニメーションを追加できる「Live effects」のほか、使用頻度の高い「クイック設定」は洗練されたデザインに刷新される。通話機能「Phone by Google」は、発信画面のカスタマイズが可能。
スマートウォッチとの連携も強化。スマートフォンで徒歩または自転車のナビを開始するだけで、Google マップが自動的にスマートウォッチに表示されるようになる。道順の確認のために何度もスマートフォンを取り出す必要がなくなり、手首で自動的に、ハンズフリーの道案内を利用できる。
また、9月後半には、「Pixel Buds Pro 2」向けに「Adaptive Audio」が提供される。これは、周囲の環境に合わせてイヤホンが最適な音量に調整する機能。「Loud Noise Protection」(大音量保護)として聴覚保護の追加機能も提供される。「Gemini」の利用では、テレビの音や周囲の会話の中でも途切れることなく会話しやすくなり、頷いたり振ったりする頭の動作で一部の操作をできるようになる。
既存機種へのソフトウェア更新では、ほかにも不具合の修正や改善が含まれる。
