地震・豪雨で奥能登の人口減少続く 珠洲市は推計1万人下回る
去年、能登半島地震や豪雨で被災した石川県の奥能登地域の4つの自治体で人口減少が続き、珠洲市の推計人口が1万人を下回ったことが県のまとめでわかりました。珠洲市では地震が起きる直前の推計人口から1800人余り減っていて、災害が人口減少の動きを加速させた形になっています。
石川県は毎月、市や町ごとの人口を住民登録をもとに公表していて、8月1日時点のデータを9月1日、公表しました。
それによりますと地震や豪雨で被害を受けた奥能登地域の4つの市と町の転出者数は、地震が発生した去年1月1日からことし7月末までの1年7か月の間であわせて6297人でした。
一方、この期間の転入者数は4つの市と町であわせて1849人で、この結果、8月1日時点の奥能登地域の推計人口は4万8600人になりました。
去年1月1日の時点から6613人、率にして12％の減少となり、ほかの地域に移る動きが続いています。
このうち珠洲市の推計人口は9952人となり、初めて1万人を下回りました。
珠洲市によりますと、能登半島地震が起きる直前の2023年12月1日時点の推計人口1万1759人と比べ1807人減少していて、災害が人口減少の動きを加速させた形になっています。
