荒川上流の渓谷を木製の舟で 長瀞の川下りに大勢の観光客 埼玉
大型連休、ことしは平日を挟む「飛び石連休」ですが、祝日の29日は、荒川の急流を舟で下る埼玉県長瀞町の川下りに、大勢の観光客が訪れています。
景勝地として知られ、年間およそ300万人の観光客が訪れる長瀞町では、荒川上流の渓谷を木製の舟で下る川下りが観光名物となっています。
29日は、大勢の家族連れなどが訪れ、長さ10メートルほどの舟に乗って、およそ3キロのコースを進みました。
晴れ渡る青空のもとで、観光客は、コース途中にある「岩畳」と呼ばれる巨大な岩場が岸辺に連なる見せ場を楽しんだり、流れの緩やかな場所では、岸辺にいる人に手を振ったりしながら、20分ほどの川の旅を楽しんでいました。
東京 練馬区から家族で訪れたという40代の母親は「自然の景色や、聞こえてくる鳥のさえずりにリフレッシュできました」と話していました。
また、20代の娘も「自然の景色や空気がきれいで、とても楽しめました」と話していました。
